Om Mani Padme Hum
About the Practice
The Avalokiteshvara Mantra, also known as the Six-Syllable Mantra, embodies the boundless compassion of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva.
Reciting this mantra helps purify the body and mind, cultivate compassion and wisdom, and dispel fear and obstacles.
May the pure merit generated through this practice benefit all sentient beings, increase merit and wisdom, and bring auspiciousness and the fulfillment of all virtuous aspirations.
An Invitation to Join Our Collective Practice
Nagarjuna Cultural Center respectfully invites all fellow practitioners to join in the collective recitation of the Avalokiteshvara Mantra.
May the merits of this practice be dedicated to world peace, the well-being of all people, the long life of great masters, the perfect accumulation of merit and wisdom for all practitioners, and the liberation of all sentient beings from suffering to ultimate happiness.
Practice Recommendation
We recommend reciting the mantra at least 1,000 times daily—the more, the better. If one is unable to reach this number, even one single recitation per day can be counted towards participation in the collective practice.
All practitioners are warmly invited to join this virtuous gathering and cultivate merit and wisdom together.
Recitation Tally & Dedication Rules
Beginning on July 1st each year, we will tally the total recitation counts every six months to conduct a collective dedication of merits.
As an encouragement for diligent and continuous practice, exquisite gifts will be offered according to the number of recitations completed.
